Sorry, I decided not to put the Chocolate Cake on the blog, it was so long and complicated and I didn't think it was that good for the work it took to put it together. The Chocolate sauce was just as good on good ole brownies and vanilla ice cream. Plus it was expensive to make.

Citrus Salad
2 hearts romain lettuce 2 cups jarred citrus of orange and grapefruit sections, drained (can be found in refrigerated produce section) 2 tablespoons marmalade 2 tablespoons white wine or cider vinegar 1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil Salt and Pepper 2 tablespoons chopped or snipped chives
Arrange chopped lettuce on platter and top with pieces of grapefruit and orange. Combine marmalade with vinegar and stream in extra-virgin olive oil. Pour the dressing over salad, season with salt and pepper. Garnish platter with chives. Makes 4 servings
Pecan Pie (this one is for Darren)
3 eggs 2/3 cup sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/3 cup butter 1 cup light corn syrup 1 cup pecan, broken up
Beat eggs, sugar, salt, butter, and syrup. Stir in pecans. Pour into pie crust. Bake for 375 degrees for 30 - 40 minutes
Julie's Popcorn Treat
Mix together: 1 bag air popped popcorn (remove kernals) 2 cups white melting chocolate 3/4 cup mixed nuts(optional)
Lay out on cookie sheet, till cool Drizzle with a handful of dark melting chocolate Let harden
This makes a great gift
Popovers (Cheryl loves these)
Serve these for breakfast with powdered sugar or jelly.Also good as a side dish for roast or prime rib
2 eggs, beated at room temp 1 cup milk, at room temp 1 tablespoon melted butter 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon salt
1. Heat oven to 450 degrees. Place a muffin tin or popover pans in oven to heat about 5 minutes. Combine eggs and milk in medium bowl; stir in butter Stir in the flour and salt until just mixed
2. Remove the muffin tin from oven, carefully butter the cups, using a brush Fill cup three fourths full with batter Bake 15 minutes Reduce temp to 350 degrees Bake until well browned, About 20 minutes Serve hot
